Items Required:
Presto Kitchen Kettle (Can be purchased at K-Mart or Wal-Mart for $26.00)

Scale (to weigh out wax - optional for weighing fragrance highly recommended. )
Popsicle Sticks for centering wicks

1.) Melt Soy Wax using a Presto Pot.
2.) Add fragrance at 175º stir well (use 1 ½ oz of fragrance for every
pound of soy wax used).
3.) Add desired color, stir well.
4.) Let the wax cool until it is cloudy and starting to set up.
5.) GF Soy is ready to pour around 100°
SS Soy is ready to pour around 120°
6.) When ready to pour there will be a slight film on top.
7.) Stir for 15 seconds, then pour.
Our Soy Wax can also be poured at 170° with excellent results.
Soy Wax can be cleaned up by using soap and water.
Some fragrances need to cure for a couple of days to get the best scent
throw.

Making
Votives
Items

*34/40 SPZ wicks
*Color
Candy Thermometer
Ladle (for pouring)
Funnel (for pouring)
Scale (to weigh out wax - optional for weighing fragrance highly
recommended. )
Toothpicks (for relief holes)

The following instructions should be followed when making approximately 32
votives. Our candle kits provide you with the supplies to make approximately 8
votives in four different scents for a total of 32 votives. A general
rule for adding fragrance is 1oz. per pound of wax.
1.) Place wicks in the votive molds, straighten and center.
2.) Melt your votive wax (4 lbs.) in the Presto Kitchen Kettle (be sure to
melt enough wax to have some left over to do your re-pour). When it is
completely melted, add your color . Keep adding drops if using liquid dye
or shavings if using color blocks until you achieve
the desired color. (use your best judgment but never more than 10
drops/shavings which could lead to a chemical smell in your candles), stir well. Be
sure to keep your eye on the thermometer.
3.) When the temperature has reached approx. 175°, add your fragrance oil
(4 oz ) ,and stir for about 30 seconds.
4.) When the wax temperature reaches 170°, dip ladle into the wax pour into
the votive molds using the funnel as a guide. Pour wax to the bottom of the
curve (where the votive mold starts to curve) (remember, you should have left over wax for topping off the votives)
5.) Straighten and re-center wicks as needed.
6.) When the wax has set up (about 10-15 minutes), poke relief holes around
the wick and re-center the wick, if necessary.
7.) When the votives have cooled completely, about 3 hours, re-heat your left
over wax to about 180° and then do your re-pour.
8.) Once the votives have cooled completely, remove them from the molds.
9.) To achieve the maximum scent throw let your candles cure for a few days.

Making Container

*4 oz. Fragrance
*4lbs. Of SS Para / Soy for container wax
*34/40 SPZ wicks with 32 mm tabs
(for larger diameter containers we recommend you
use 51-32-18z )
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. of vybar 260, per pound of wax (for better
scent throw) not needed with soy.

The following instructions should be followed when making approximately 16
- 4 oz container candles. Our candle kits provide you with the supplies to make approximately
3 - 4 oz. containers in four different scents for a total of 12
containers with a little wax left over. A general
rule for adding fragrance is 1oz. per pound of wax.
1.) Melt your wax
SS Para / Soy container wax. We recommend that you melt
the wax in a Presto Kitchen Kettle. The Presto Kitchen Kettle will
hold approximately 4 pounds of wax. (There is a larger kettle that will
hold 8 lbs. of wax which is great for double batches)
2.) The temperature of the wax should be around 160° when you pour into the
containers. (Use a candy thermometer to measure the temperature of the wax)
3.) Next, pre-heat your jars in a 150° oven for at least 10 minutes.
This avoids jump lines.
4.) Once the wax has completely melted add your vybar and color . We
recommend using the liquid color because of the consistency. Start out by
using 1 drop of color at a time. Keep adding the drops until you achieve
the desired color.
5.) When your wax has cooled to 160°, add your fragrance oil
(an ounce of
fragrance oil per pound of wax)
6.) Stir for about 30 seconds.
7.) Remove your jars from the oven.
8.) Using the ladle and funnel gently pour the melted wax into the
heated containers.
9.) After all containers have been poured you can place wicks in
center. (using popsicle sticks to help keep them in place if
necessary)
10.) Candles should cure for several days after they are made in order to
achieve the best scent throw.

recommended )

A general rule for adding fragrance is 1oz. per pound

1.) Place wick in the Pillar molds, straighten and center. Use a
molding clay to help seal the hole in the mold.
2.) Melt your votive wax in the Presto Kitchen Kettle. When it is
completely melted, add your color . Keep adding drops if using liquid dye
or shavings if using color blocks until you achieve
the desired color. (use your best judgment but never more than 10
drops/shavings which could lead to a chemical smell in your candles), stir well. Be
sure to keep your eye on the thermometer.
3.) When the temperature has reached approx. 175°, add your fragrance oil ,and stir for about 30 seconds.
4.) When the wax temperature reaches 170°, dip ladle into the wax pour into
the pillar mold using the funnel as a guide.
5.) Straighten and re-center wicks as needed.
6.) When the wax has set up (has a slight film on top) poke relief holes around
the wick and re-center the wick, if necessary. Poking the relief hole
helps reduce having to do a re-pour.
8.) Once the Pillar has cooled completely, remove from the mold.
The top of the mold is the bottom and the top is the bottom. If you
use a pillar mold with a seam you can use a butter knife and panty hose to buff
out the finished product.
9.) To achieve the maximum scent throw let your candles cure for a few days.
10.) Enjoy!!!!!!!
Note: Wicking pillars can be challenging so make sure you test your
pillars before selling and marketing them.
